Chris Tribe - Furniture Maker

Chris Tribe designs and makes fine furniture at a workshop in Blubberhouses, North Yorkshire, mid way between Harrogate, Ilkley and Skipton.
Whilst being firmly contemporary in design his making incorporates tried and tested construction techniques such as mortice and tenon and hand cut dovetails. The emphasis in his work is on careful attention to detail in both making and design. From obtaining a clear understanding of the clients requirements and designing to fulfill them; through meticulous care in the making process to final delivery and after sales service.
Examples of Chris's work and that of four other top designer makers can be seen at the gallery attached to his workshop. Further details of the gallery, called Designer Makers, can be found on http://www.designermakers.co.uk/.
In addition to making furniture Chris also enjoys passing on his skills and has taught in adult education for many years. He offers one to one and small group tuition in his own workshop.
