Evolution

We all know the problem herbivores have on the great African plains, they keep getting eaten by the carnivores. Well, it's occured to me, why haven't any of the herbivore species evolved so they don't taste so nice to the carnivores? Now, if wilderbeast or gazelle tasted nasty the lions would soon learn not to eat them. Then they would not have to expend energy with all that jumping and running away. Why did evolution not come up with such an obvious strategy?

There's obviously a problem here for evolutionists, so if you're following this blog Mr Dawkins (I'm sure you are), I would like an explanation soonest.

It's good t know that some bloggers are not afraid to ask the big questions!

My dogs have evolved a foul odour mechanism, does that count?

Would the carnivores not then evolve to like the taste?
