Kitchen Fitting Tradesmen
Tuesday, 18th January 2011 22:43 PM
An important element in making the fitting of a kitchen go smoothly is the quality of the tradesmen that carry out all the ancillary work involved. They must be fast workers who work to a high standard, we must also be able to trust them to work without creating too much mess and dust. We are fortunate in having built a good team of reliable people who fulfil these requirements.
Firstly we have on plumbing Miguel Pinedo. Miguel has had a varied career, at one time he was a professional charity worker before returning to his original trade of plumbing. His work is always very neat with very little spillage, he also responds quickly if any emergencies arise, which not always the case with plumbers!
Secondly on electrics we have Martin Hall and his brother Paul. Quick but precise workers. We discovered Martin when he did some electrical work on David’s new extension. Martin and Paul also did the wiring and lighting in our new Gallery and workshop.
Finally on plastering we have Andy Robinson of M&R Plasterers. For the Wave Kitchen the customer requested Italian polished plaster, an interesting technique which gives a coloured mottled effect with a subtle satin sheen. Andy is an expert in applying this surface. Not only that but he is also very conscious that plastering can be a dusty affair, the first thing he did before starting work was to apply sealing tape to the doors to prevent dust reaching the rest of the house.
With this team we were able to strip out and fit the recent Wave kitchen with the least disruption to the customer.
