The traditional character of this design is enhanced by an art deco influence evident in the shaping of the plinth and cornice and the line of the doors.
The details on this cabinet indicate a particular attention to detail. The rosewood glazing beads in the upper cabinet provide a visual surprise on opening the doors. The doors are retained by a brass slide bolt in the door edge and a mortice lock. The lower door panels are well figured oak burr.
An atractive detail are the diamond shaped key escutcheons in rosewood.
