The client specification for this cabinet was unusual but simple. He wanted one like the the one in his local pub, but bigger! It did not leave much room for artistic interpretation, but did give me the opportunity to work with curved glass!
Construction of the carcase is fairly straight forward, being solid american cherry frame and panel. The rails for the full length bowed door are laminated using fourteen 1.5mm cherry laminations bent on a former. The veneered bottom panel is also laminated on a former.
Needless to say I took extreme care when fitting the very expensive curved glass!
