Shelves and cupboards in a long room
Cost: Please contact for price
The client has knocked two large rooms into one, giving four alcoves down a room approximately 10 metres long. The room is divided by furniture into living and dining areas. Not only is the thickness of the shelves (60mm) in proportion, it also allowed them to span the width of the alcoves without support from uprights. The shelf contents are illuminated by downlighters in the overshot top shelves.
The cupboards are fitted with sprung hinges and push catches, as handles would spoil the simplicity of the flush doors.
Construction is in MDF and poplar, all shelf fronts and door edges being lipped with poplar for better wear and tear.
THe Mackintoshy Dining Suite was also made for this room.
