The vestibule in which this table stands is decorated with lincrusta with an art nouveau floral motif. This gave me a starting point from which to design the table. I hope the effect is art nouveau with a contemporary slant.
Construction is in european oak with details in bog oak. I have not used bog oak before, the stuff for this piece came from a piece given to me about ten years ago by a civil engineer who pulled it from a bog in Ireland.
The top has a bog oak edge bead while the drawer has fine hand cut dovetails and bog oak decoration to the front.
